Here we go again....

Well...here I am again.  It's almost two years later and I am still trying to market this book.  I do admit that I had a hiatus imposed by my Mother's health and subsequent death.  Now I am back to being able to write and after pondering the possibilities with new works I have, I realized that I have The Betrayal which is a finished product...DUH!
So...I have sent a press release out the local newspapers and sent an e-mail to an independent bookstore.  The bookstore will take my books on a consignment basis....60/40 in my favor starting with 3-5 copies.  I have to order some more copies but I am excited.

Mary writes a book

Well I have finally self published a novella.  Like so many would be authors, I became frustrated with the process of attempting to find an agent.   I say frustrating but I probably should be using a more powerful lword because it is bloody impossible to find an agent or publlisher.
First, the guidelines differ greatly and if you do not folow the guidelines exactly, they will not even look at your work.  But the major probem is that no one bothers to get back to you.  So sending proposals to agents is like jumpnig into a great black hole. At least this way, my book is out there and I am a published author rather than an unpublished unknown.
I started writing because I was finding it hard to find a good read.  I have an ecclectic taste in books and I longed to find a good story...not violent or action packed...just a good story. So I started writing and I have several works that need to be organized.
The Betrayal  is a novella that is a story of redemption and forgiveness.  Anna and Rachel are identical twins who have little contact until the day Anna's husband is killed in  the 9/11 attacks.  Just when it appears that Anna's world is forever broken, Rachel shows up on her doorstep. She has a terrible secret which shatters Anna's already broken world.
I will leave the description at that so that you will have some incentive to read my book.  It is available on Amazon in bboth print and Kindle versions.
I am anxious for feedback so I will know how this book is being received.
Happy reading!
